The Ben Craig Center
Assists small and medium sized companies with high growth potential in pursuing overseas markets in Europe. Overseas research is concentrated on finding a suitable location for exporting.


Foreign Trade Zones
Under US Foreign Trade Zone Program, companies may bring foreign and domestic merchandise into zones for a variety of purposes, including testing, storage, relabeling and displaying, with the eventual purpose of entry into the US, or for exportation from the US. All custom duties and federal excise taxes are deferred (and can be substantially reduced) while merchandise is in a zone.

NC Association of Certified Public Accountants
International Practice Committee provides professional accounting, tax and pertinent international advice to US companies looking to expand to foreign markets.

NC Bar Association
International Law & Practice Section furthers the purposes of the NC Bar Association to international law and practice.

NC Department of Agriculture
Develops new markets and expands existing markets for NC agricultural products; organizes trade show participation and trade missions; identifies foreign buyers; counsels NC firms on the export potential and export process for their product.

The North Carolina Department of Commerce International Trade Division
The North Carolina Department of Commerce's International Trade division is located in two domestic and seven international locations. The division works to prepare North Carolina companies to sell their products abroad while advocating and creating channels of distribution. Throughout the year, the department provides necessary resources and educational training programs.

International Business Development Program
Provides free one-on-one counseling, helps new-to-export businesses explore and identify overseas markets. Small Business & Technology Development Center.

Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA)
 Encourages, fosters, and promotes the export of high-value food and agricultural products from the region; provides international marketing services; conducts market research; participates in international trade missions and exhibitions; develops materials to educate small and medium sized companies on available export assistance programs.
