Blue Ridge Community College
Henderson County is home to Blue Ridge Community College, North Carolina’s only community college to receive superior ranking seven years in a row. Blue Ridge Community College offers 95 programs, including 41 associate degree programs, 30 certificate programs, 21 diploma programs, and 3 articulated programs. On average 3,100 students enroll at the accredited institute and 375 graduate. Upon graduation, students are eligible to transfer to any of North Carolina’s 18 public schools.
Wingate University Hendersonville Campus
In the fall of 2010, Wingate University announced it would be opening a Henderson County location. Situated in the heart of downtown, Wingate began its Master of Business Administration (MBA) course spring 2011 and its Pharmacy School in the fall of 2011.
Western Carolina University
Just an hour north of Henderson County, Western Carolina University offers numerous programs and training. The Center for Rapid Product Realization at Western Carolina University provides Concept to Manufacturing capabilities creating functional prototypes in hours. Western Carolina University offers Graduate level programs in Biltmore Park, just minutes north of Henderson County.
