Hendersonville Water & Sewer Department
Hendersonville receives water from a watershed of more than 24 square miles located in Pisgah National Forest. This is supplemented by water taken from the Mills River along Boylston Highway near NC Highway 191. The City has recently completed the installation of a raw water main to the French Broad River which can be utilized during times of drought or during emergency situations. All water is treated at a newly renovated filtration plant located in Mills River. System storage capacity is over 16 million gallons.
