Recently, the Asheville Regional Airport and representatives from the Carolina West economic development group, including the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development, had the opportunity to meet with American Airlines in Dallas, TX. The group met with domestic planning management, who made a strong case for reinstatement of non-stop service from Asheville to Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. American Airlines shared their interest in learning more about the business community’s specific travel needs in order to move forward.
The Asheville Regional Airport is requesting your assistance to help build the business case for new, non-stop commercial air service. They ask that you consider sharing information about your most recent travel patterns, including destination and budget information. In addition to being used to encourage reinstatement of Dallas service, the information could also be used to advocate for Denver, CO or Washington D.C. service.
An Air Travel Summary work sheet has been provided by the airport to help gather needed information. You can download the document as a .pdf or .doc format, or print direct from the link. Please complete and submit the requested data no later than January 31, 2013. Completed work sheets, and any questions should be directed to Tina Kinsey, Director of Air Service Development, Asheville Regional Airport, at 828.654.3238 or [email protected].
