HiViz LED Lighting, Inc., a US-based company that designs and manufactures emergency vehicle lighting fixtures and equipment, has announced that they are investing over $6 million into a new facility. They have been in Henderson County for 8 years and will be moving some of their production to an existing building on Continuum Drive in the Town of Fletcher.
The expansion will result in 33 new jobs, with an average annual wage of $68,788, and investment of $6,196,649.
“Henderson County has been a wonderful home to us,” said Sam Massa, CEO of HiViz LED Lighting, Inc. “We are excited to kick off this project to bring some of our most critical production lines Stateside, and grateful for the state and local government support to make that happen.”
HiViz maintains a position at the forefront of new technology in the emergency vehicle space and has increased their capacity since starting production in 2018. The company has plans to begin to move some of its production and assembly from overseas in an effort to improve deliverability, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain stability. According to the company, these are all critical steps to help their customers – the fire apparatus manufacturers – improve their throughput and deliver rigs to communities around the country at a faster rate.

Their new space requires updates to accommodate this work, and so the company is utilizing the NC Department of Commerce Building Reuse Grant. Work required includes engineering lab space, clean room manufacturing space, and temperature-controlled assembly areas. Employees will be hired to support all functions of the business including warehousing, manufacturing, operations, engineering, and sales.
